Finding Freedom in Stability after Sailing across the Atlantic with Tina and Rhett Jacobi

Apple Podcasts | Spotify

Can you honor security and adventure at the same time?

Tina and Rhett Jacobi are a husband and wife team living in the Columbia River Gorge. They co-founded their business, Big Water Construction, after returning from a several months long sailing trip, including an Atlantic crossing.

In the middle of the ocean, they hosted their own Zoom wedding from the boat. As artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs, they infuse passion and stoke into their everyday life.

We talk about...

  • What it’s like to build a small business with your spouse

  • How Tina and Rhett intentionally designed their relationship from day 1

  • Intense moments from sailing across the ocean on a small sailboat

  • The transition back to life on soil and immediately buying a house

  • Blending art, construction, business, and adventure while dealing with the realities of life stress
